Novel Playlists

Fighting Boy Meets Girl
Honestly this adaptation is pretty faithful. My fav addition was Gauron scouting out Kaname's apartment and sticking gum on Kurz's M9. Kurz, you idiot, he wasn't littering, he was taunting you! Thrown gum doesn't stick like that!

Running One Night Stand
So in the anime, Sousuke gave Kaname a tracking device bracelet and flashbang earrings as an apology gift. In the novel he actually brought her poppies, but not because they were pretty flowers--he expected she'd want to make opium/heroine out of them and sell them.

Trembling Into The Blue
Fun fact! In the novel, Gauron had lost a leg, and the prosthetic was how he snuck in the disc to override Dana's controls. Also Dunnigan is racist as heck and refers to almost every Asian character as Chinese. What an asshole! (This is what prompts Gauron to say he's Japanese, which could be a lie, who knows?)

Ending Day By Day/The Second Raid
In the novel, the twins get no description, no development, and were male as opposed to the Xia Twins, who are female and get much more screentime. In the manga, they were female and inexplicably Russian.

Dancing Very Merry Christmas
Never animated! It also happened out of order, as a flashback, in the manga. It has an audio drama, though.

Continuing On My Own
While Kaname ended up helping Sousuke find a way to infiltrate Jindai in the anime, in the novel (and manga) he tasered her and knocked her out to try to keep her safe while he went there on his own.

Burning One Man Force
Sousuke tells the crooked cop that the reason he's interested in the illegal AS fights is that he's out for money and blood in the anime. In the novel, he specifically says he needs money to buy his prostitute girlfriend's freedom. I wonder what Kaname would think about THAT one!
